CI · AV · Lighting · California — The Best Voice in CI. AVIXA CTS, Dante certified, thirty years in, and still the guy who'd rather explain the thing than sell past it.

Dealers know two things about K-array: the speakers are shockingly thin, and they're expensive. Both true. Almost nobody has been told the third thing, which is why the physics works — that PAT is a subtraction, not an addition, and that the narrow vertical pattern is the entire product.
So when a dealer walks a hard room, they reach for what they know. And a beautiful Italian column sits in a catalog nobody opens, because nobody ever gave them the one question that qualifies it: how much depth do you have?
That's a coverage gap, not a product problem. It's exactly the gap I've spent thirty years filling — and my whole method is to fill it without making the other person feel taught. Nobody buys from someone who just made them feel behind.
I started in hi-fi and car audio out east — Connecticut, New York, Jersey — while I was trying to become a decent comic and having far too much fun. Still trying. Then national rep work for Klipsch covering most of the East Coast, RSM roles at ClearOne and RTI, VP of Sales and Marketing at Zigen, and a stretch in design and management at Creative Artists Agency that turned out to be the best relationship training I never planned on. Also a lot of voiceover.
The Rapp Report started as a weekly fax to my Klipsch dealers. It existed because dealers need to know they're supported and they benefit from the concepts even when they have no time for my long-winded explanations — which I still insist are the Crown Jewels of this industry. Same philosophy, different decade. It's video and a website now. It's the same job.
What all of that adds up to for a line like this one: I can hold the room. K-array sells in a design review, in front of an architect and a client and somebody's spouse who has strong feelings about the fireplace wall. That is a performance, and I've been performing for a long time.
I live in Ventura with my wife Shelly, one of the most genuinely extraordinary humans I've ever met, who keeps me grounded in the ways that matter and who has recently become a successful and inspiring children's author. I'm a rabid Dodgers fan with an intense and failing fantasy baseball franchise, a fairly despotic Lakers fan, and always up for a friendly argument — because I never know what I might say until it happens.
A dealer resource for a line worth selling, built before anybody asked. No representation agreement, no distribution agreement, no compensation, no relationship implied. If K-array ever wants to talk, they know where the fax machine is.
